Norfolk Youth Basketball is a private organization offering Youth Basketball programs, leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments and other basketball opportunities for boys and girls in area. Presently, there are programs for Boys and Girls in grades K through 6th.
Norfolk Youth Basketball is sponsored by the Norfolk Recreation Department. Much support and assistance is provided by that organization, thanks to Ann Proto. Our philosophy is to teach youth basketball players the fundamentals of the game in a fun and caring manner with trained, hired professional coaches. Each year, the boys and girls improve in their skills and the program changes to accommodate their skill level; this includes games with licensed officials, league standings and playoffs for the 3rd grade and higher. We prepare those players who wish to advance to a higher level for "Travel" or "Middle School" basketball and give them an excellent foundation and experience to enjoy the game at any level. Individual skill training is also available. You do not have to attend a Norfolk Public school to be eligible for Norfolk Youth Basketball - all private school, home school and school choice students as well as students from other towns are welcome.
